bought new tuner, old one stolen. need help

Post by tdod101 »

Hello there.

So I bought a BNIB intune 1000 for my 2006 dodge ram 1500 hemi. My old one was stolen last year in December, and ive been stuck on 87 octane tune ever since. Now that I have a new one, im wondering if there is anything I have to do prior to plugging this one in and being able to go back to stock tune, or other tunes. Ive already updated the device via my laptop, and haven't done anything else. please let me know.

Thanks, Tom.

plug it in and try to tune it and the tool will prompt you to connect to a pc and get an update after it reads the backup, then it will load a stock tune then you can tune from scratch.

Alright I shall try it, I figured I would need the stock tune from a dealer or something first. As I said I'm stuck on 87 octane from my previous tuber. Does the new one I bought have the stock installed on it?

Alright so, I plugged it in to my truck, clicked on write vehicle. Tried to adjust stock parameters (tire size) and it said "this vehicle has previously been tuned by another diablo unit" or something of that sorts. It prompted me to unplug and connect to PC to update.

I'm doing that as we speak, whats the next step?

Don't disconnect it from your PC. It can take a long time to update and appear hung. It just takes a while to install the update.
