PCM ID Ram 1500 5,7l Hemi not supported

Post by juergne »

Year: 2012
Make: Ram
Model: RAM 1500
Engine: 5.7L HEMI
Modifications: None
Tool: T1000
Revision: dcx_gas 1r13d

Hey guys,
the Trinity updated the PCM to 68064945AF a few weeks ago.
I have nothing installed.
Now, my local dealer updated my car with the latest original RAM update available.
The new PCM-ID is: 68064945AG

If i want to install a tune now, i got the message to update my vehicle to a supported CAL-ID again.
So, the AG version is not supported. Can you implement the AG software?
When will it be done?
I don't want to downgrade my PCM again.

Regards
Juergen

I cant say when that will be available.
Downgrading will not hurt anything.

I have the same thing on my 2013 Charger.
There was an update in August for my PCM and TCM.
I had a dealer update my car last week.
But the Trinity always downgrades my PCM.

If you want to use the tool, you have to downgrade.

I'm wondering what the difference is between the AG PCM code and the downgrade AD?

There has to be a reason that the dealers are implimenting this new PCM AG Id. It has to be an update to fix or improve something.

My dealer said, the AG version has changes in the injection area, as injection time and quantity.
So, it would be nice to have this version supported, even if you only want to change some parameters.

The question is, will Diablosport implement the AG version or not?

The TCM and PCMs on these are most likely obfuscated like the 2011+ Chargers and Challengers.
This requires reverse engineering the new flash and I'm guessing DiabloSport does not have time to do this (working on other projects) or they do not care to do this (works good enough).

It's a shame to have wasted all that money on something that does not work anymore.

No, the tool works fine and if the OP would allow it to do what it needs, he could tune his truck right now.

We have 1000s of customers who have done the same downgrade and never had an issue, we have been doing this for years and years, if this caused problems you would see and hear about it everywhere.

I think, downgrade and tune is not the problem. But i couldn't save my latest original pcm software, and if i want to restore the original software, i have to go to the dealer and i have to pay again for the latest version.
In principle, i only want to save my latest oem Version.
No chance?
