UPDATE ON U7145!

Post by jtcmart »

I see from other posts that your tuner is working on the revision for the U7151 and thats great for U7151 owners. Does that mean he is not working on the revision for the U7145? Some of us have been waiting for 4 months with a device that is junk to us! We are told time and time again it is coming. Last week I was told by the end of the week. It has come and gone. You guys suck at this. Please hire some more tuners and provide a quality product that works or let me know what number to call to get my refund! I am very frustrated and sure wish I would have went with a reputable company for my tuner!

He was working on them simultaneously. The U7145 is a bit more involved as it has many more tunes to update. It IS coming, I guarantee you that.

That's what we were told in November. Is it coming this century?

i hear ya

Post by Whitehorse1 »

i hear ya jtc. got mine a lil while ago and still waiting. it's funny how a tuner is sent that's "supposed" to work with my '07 v6 stang and yet i'm waiting on something i'm supposed to update BEFORE i use it?? i mean how do i know if this thing is even gonna work? isn't the current revision 8 of '08 supposed to be able to support an '07 model? unless i see results and know it's gonna work, the whole thing seems like a hoax to me and someone is getting a pretty penny from us car enthusiasts! got some buddies i run with some times with their GT's and how can i recommend a product that i don't even know works from the beginning. i guess seeing really IS believing

I talked to them Friday and they have not even been working on the new revision. If you can still return the device, I strongly recommend that you do so. I don't have that option, but I will be contacting the Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus as well as the Federal Trade Commission in hopes of gettting my situation resolved (too long since purchase to return to who I bought it from). I am truely frustrated and we (those who have been screwed) need to stick together to see that they resolve this problem!

Best of luck to you! I guess I will sit and look at my $359 paperweight until the folks at Diablo get their crap together. I will make sure that I send in a review to every website that sells the Diablo crap telling my story though!

Who exactly told you we were not working on it?
If my engineers and tuners heard that, they would certainly be upset, as they ARE working on updating this tool, contrary to what you may have heard.

Now you are here spreading misinformation, and that does not help in any way.

If I am spreading misinformation then your support guys are spreading it to us. I talked to Phil on the phone Friday afternoon (he was very nice and professional by the way). When I called I asked if he could tell me when the new revision for the U7145 would be out. He told me "they will be getting back to working on it in a few days. They have spent the last few weeks working on new circuit cards for Diablosport tuners and on upgrades to Dodge Diesel tuners." I would appreciate that you not acuse me of spreading misinformation if you guys are not even going to get your stories straight inhouse. We have been waiting months for this revision so we can use our devices (not upgrades to what we have already been using). I understand that it does not happen overnight and that it takes time, but it is obviously not your priority to take care of those who bought a device that is essentially broken since it doesn't work with our STOCK cars. I do not wish to preach and I am not trying to be a pain in the butt, however I want my device to work before the car is worn out. Until Whitehorse replied to me on this thread I had not written anything on the forum because it does no good (all it does is make you guys mad, and I don't want you taking any longer on the device because I ticked you off). I simply replied to a person who was in the same situation that I am and told him my side of the story in hopes it would help him.

Well, I apologize that Phil told you that, but it is not the whole truth.
We are currently in the process of updating EVERY tool in our lineup, including the u7145.

Again I will say thanks and sit on my paperweight until the revision is released so that I can install my CAI and tune my car!

OK, I just purchased a U7145. What is the problem with the unit.
I tried to back up my original tune but I can not seem to get the
unit to intialize.

My problem is that my CALID is not supported. Diablo has promised a new revision to support my CALID since November but has not lived up to their promises. I hope you have better luck with this company than I did. I have given up and am going to see if I can get some of my money back by selling the darned thing.

A few months, that's nothing. You'll need to wait in line behind the people with the U7146 who have been waiting a couple years for their update.

Are there people with the U7146 that it does not work with their car at all or are you just waiting for upgrades to your device? I have a pretty blue box that has never been capable of doing anything to my car.
