93 octane tune and aftermarket waste gate

Post by Flakdodger »

Put the 93 octane tune in with the stock pcm. Seems to run better. Concerned about the weak stock wastegate and want to upgrade to a aftermarket but I see they state aftermarket not recommended with Predator/trinity 93 octane tune without getting a custom tune.

Is this true?

mikel,
I know that the Base 93 tune says not to use a heavy spring WGA like the AGP, but can you use an AGP with an 8lbs spring? Wouldn't this be similar to a mopar stage 2 WGA? Also is the 93octane tune based on stock injectors (2004 NSRT4), WGA, tip &map sensors, or is it more focused around stage 2 upgrades like the 682cc injectors, WGA, & tip sensor?
Any help clearing this up would be greatly appreciated, as I very much want to purchase a Trinity unit, but srtforums responses seem to muddy the water on the subject.

Thanks,
