Hi,
I'm about to purchase a Diablo Trinity 1000. I have a 2015 Challenger RT Scat Pack (Basically, engine wise is SRT, 8 speed automatic - 6.4 liter) .
I'm basically stock, except:
1) I have a ported/polished 85mm Throttle body (from "The Fastman")
2) Exhaust is stock, except I did the center muffler delete (replaced with straight pipe)
3) R2C black hex filter and intake, with Hellcat air tube feeding it air.
A guy at a car show owns a shop, said if I bring in my own tuner, for $50 he will show me the ropes. How to back up what I have, tune it, and restore if needed. He said, it can add 20-30 horse power, and a MUCH better throttle response.
What are some of the settings I can change/make with a T-1000 ?
What should I expect from performance, throttle response etc?
Thanks James

Re: New to Diablo Trinity 1000
hi
The very first thing I need to know. I was under the impression, I could buy a t-1000, plug it in and start making changes? I was just told I can not do this, as my PCM is locked. I would have to send in my current PCM to be unlocked, or get a second one which is already unlocked.
Is this true? (keep in mind, I have a 2015 Challenger RT Scat Pack (Basically, engine wise is SRT, 8 speed automatic - 6.4 liter)
Thanks James

Yes, thats true. 2015s you need to replace the PCM before doing any tuning.

So? If I go down this road $400 - $600 for a tuner plus $200 (unlock mine) or $500ish for a 2nd PCM.Mike_Levy wrote:Yes, thats true. 2015s you need to replace the PCM before doing any tuning.
$600 low end to $1100, then additional cost if I want to buy a custom tune. That about it ?
If I did all this: (keeping in mind only have a cold air intake and ported throttle body, on 6.4 L Scat Pack)

Thats something the Diablo guys are going to have to answer. I have no experience with the 2015s.

Re: New to Diablo Trinity 1000
Gains are about 15 rwhp over stock.
Throttle response is greatly improved and adjustable.
Overall performance is improved through reduction/elimination of torque management, etc.
Thanks
