Why No shift pressure?

Post by rjames »

I thought the 7151 had an option to add shift pressure? Why can I not find it in my programmer? I bought this and had to wait what seemed like forever to get the revision I needed to even use it and now the main reason that I bought it to get a tune and change the shift firmness for towing my trailer to get a more positive shift. I tow a 28 ft enclosed trailer fully loaded weighing 9500 lbs and when it shifts it seems to drag more than I would like to see. These trannys are doggy from the get go and this is what I wanted as the adds all over every where state that this is what you will get by buying this unit and now evidently this is not true. NOW WHAT!

What would be perfect would be having all three tunes with more line pressure and n ot just WOT pressure. I don't race this thing I have other toys for that This is my daily truck and she needs to work on weekends even harder.

I'd really like to see this feature as well... A big reason I bought the U7151 was to increase the shift pressure, from stock these trannys seem to "granny shift" and while the 93 octane tune is better than stock, it would be nice to have more control over the tranny.

If you read the description of the tool's capabilities from OUR website, it only advertises WOT shift pressure.

However, if you contact one of our CMR Dealers (you can try Mike @ Dallas Mustang www.1800mustang.com), they will be able to create a custom tune for you with part throttle pressure added using our advanced tuning software.

Prehaps you could explain to us how to adjust WOT shift pressure. I have gone thru the menus on the predator a dozen times and have not seen anything related to shift pressure; All I have found are SHIFT POINTS in both MPH and RPM...

It looks like an advertised feature is missing...

Exactly! Cannot find anything even about WOT either. So I guess I am not missing something. Well so is the advertising still correct then? HMMMMMMMM
