2005 ssr gear and tire swap

Post by brianc »

First of all I am new to this site and if this question has already been asked I appologize in advance. Lat summer I purchased a Predaor model U7191 from Autoanything, for my 2005 chevy ssr(LS2 v8). The first thing I asked was if I could adjust for tire and gear swaps. After being on hold for several minutes I was told that this was indeed a feature of the U7191. I have since swapped tires and wheels and have been unable to find where in the programmer the adjustments are. This has not been a problem so far as the swap didnt seem to affect much other then the speedo. I am now working on swapping to 456 gears and have been told that I will have problems with the ETC and or ABS if I dont correct the speedo. I must not be looking in the right place as today I saw a U7191 on EBAY and it says it corrects for tire and gear swaps. Please let me know how I can adjust the speedo. Thanks in advance for your help. :?

The adjustable parameters do not support that in the current rev of the U7191, however we can make you a custom tune for this that will take care of the gear change and the tires.

Off the topic of this post but my curiosity is killing me: did you put a lift on an SSR? Or are you setting it up for drag? If it's lifted; WE WANT PICS!!!
