Original backup

I plug my in tune into my 2003 GMC Sierra and when I try to install a tune it just says reading original backup and stays at 0% and won't make any progress any ideas?

Got your key turned to ON position?

Have everything aftermarket disconnected??

Yea after market stereo and led light. I unhooked the lights from the battery and took the stereo out.

need to disconnect the aftermarket stereo's wiring harness from the vehicle's wiring...

Could I just pull the stereo fuse instead?

No, the harness tied into the factory connector that connects to the back of the radio is the issue here generally.
