Possible 2015 Challenger PCM Purchase

Hi guys. Quick question here.

Someone on the forums I'm part of is selling a brand new, never installed, "unlocked" 2015 PCM they recently purchased from you for their 2015 Challenger Scat Pack.

If I were to purchase this PCM from them and would I be able to install it in my 2015 Challenger SRT? The seller states it's not locked to his VIN. But, I wanted to confirm with you guys that this PCM purchased for one car could actually be used in a different, but similar car with no other requirements, or programming.

I already own a Trinity to use.

Also, might as well ask, just in-case the owner actually did install the PCM. If that was the case, would it still work in my car if it was previously installed?

it would need to be sent here and programmed for your vehicle still, $200.

So, just to be 100% clear for me on this matter. This is an unlocked and prepped PCM purchased from you guys we're talking about, and not just a store-bought, blank PCM.

That being the case, it still has to be sent back to you before I could use it?
Is this a VIN, mileage, etc. situation? The seller seems to think you just plug this PCM into anyone else's car and it can be used. Thanks again.

Correct, VIN/Mileage, and most importantly tge correct calibration must be loaded to it for it to work in anything besides when we initially programmed it for.

Same with any programmed PCM, modified by us or not
