2011 GMC 1500 5.3l - Tunning problem

Post by Frpd »

Hey Guys,
Got my new Itune2, and it does program a lot faster. However, I did a custom tune, and turned off the speed governor, yet when I tested it out this morning, it still limits it.

Anybody help me out? I double checked it already, and it is selected off.

Thanks
Nate

Hey Mike,

Thanks. Here you go. Also, I increased the WOT shift pressure on all gears to 15 % and I still don't feel the humf I got (or the chirp between 1-2 and 2-3) that I had with the intune 1 that I had before. Could you have a look at the too please.

Thanks!

Nate

you disabled the speed limiter, but you did not raise up the speed any higher.. so that's why it's still limited at stock setting..

you need to disable the limiter and then also raise the mph speed..

Weird. I only see an option to turn speed limier on or off. I haven't found on option to increase governor on my 2011 GMC with intune 2.

Hey Mikel,

I dropped that file into my turner and went back to the truck. I still only get speed limiter on and off option, as well as tire size. No speed limit number to set. Am I totally blind?

Also, I tuned the TCm and moved the shift pressures right up to 20%. Still shifts like stock. Like I mentioned, before I upgraded to the intune 2, I had the regular intune and with shift pressures at 8-10% it was shifting noticeably harder.

Hey Mike,

Back from working out of town. Loaded the tune last week. Fixed the speed limiter issue. However, I still can't seem to feel (as with old intune1) the increased shift pressures that I've changed in the TCM parameters. Either that, or the torque management is still holding it back (even though it is selected as off).

Do you want me to data log it or post the current tune? I use to be able to chirp the tires from 1-2 and even slightly from 2-3 shift with minimal increased shift pressures.

Thanks

Hey Mike,

I used the speed tune you posted. Then I made changes to rev limiter etc. But for whatever reason, the dates modified don't correspond to the dates I made changes.

Have a look, would love to get that hard shift back/tq management off feeling back. I know something isn't right, going to my *test* run spot, its just not the same.

Thanks!

Hey Mike,

Have you had a chance to look into tune?
