Tunes for a 2014 Sierra with a 4.3

Post by Mcp »

After exchanging my defective i2 I finally got the new one in today. I just registered through the website and installed the updates. After plugging into the truck finally, I noticed the 91 octane tune is greyed out but the 93 tunes is available. Since I currently have a tank full of 93 octane I figured what the hell and installed that one and turned off the DOD/AFM. It's made a huge difference!!! It feels like the drivetrain is finally operating at its full potential.

My question is, is the 93 octane tune the same as the "Diablo" tunes others talk about and will it run ok on 91 octane? Also is torque management completely off with the 93 tune?

yes 91 is fine..

engine torque management is disabled..

tranny torque management, I don't remember if the preset tune disables it or not, but you can modify the tcm tune and disable it..
