Question about my Diablo tune (08 Silverado)

Post by jnkirk1974 »

I tuned my truck prior to getting my Corsa Sport exhaust and my Volant intake.
Do I need to change any settings to my Diablo tune in order to take advantage of the exhaust and intake?

Thanks.

yeah... the intake most likely made you leaner... check your ltft's again and adjust your injector slope as necessary..

jnkirk,

Berfore my Brute Force Intake was installed (07 Silvy with the Vortec Max) I was completely dialed in. Both Crusing and WOT.

After I had to take 3% out of the PE to get my numbers back in line. Anyone that says the after market intakes do not make a difference never logged data on their vehicle where they were able to do a before and after.

[SOAPBOX] My question is this.. With people that are running stock and add only an Intake with no program adjustments (like I did with my last truck) what were they missing?

I am pretty sure the horsepower gains listed on their sites are with a programmer correcting things after the install.[/SOAPBOX]

Good to know. Now, the only problem is.....I have no idea how to do any of what you guys said! :)
I'm not a tech, so I don't even know what PE is.

Are any of these things you guys told me about, easy to do? With limited knowledge, I just want to make sure I don't screw up my truck.

Got questions after that, plenty of guys here to answer them.
My personal tip: It helps to ask, not piss and whine.
