have 2004 ford f150 xlt 5.4 L
daiblo predator u7151 with v 9 11 or something most recent.
Want to use real time logging with a windows laptop. Never have done so. Several
questions go along with using this tool? Originally got a manual / book
with all the acronyms for things- like torque converter clutch "tcc" throttle position "tp"
and many many listed in the predator and figured some out myself. Do not know what they all mean.
Main concern now is connecting without trouble breaking something and logging the data, viewing data.
How much can it hold of real time data? Does it depend on disk storage? With dsdownloader and
dataviewer installed on the laptop am I good to go (safe) or do I need to check something else?
What is the legacy thing for? I have 232 to usb cable converter to connect with, if baud rate is misconfigured does it ruin the tool, or my car pcm? Sorry about so many questions. Also had mil light on dash but no code in tool. Used another code scanner I borrowed and it picked up some codes. Does it, predator u7151 not work on stored codes? Thanks for any kind help. My truck drives like crap and always getting worse, misfires terrible with light accell pedal pressure. Why I want monitor the pedal sending unit - resistor pack.

Re: connect
the tool can hold 10+ minutes of log data, more than you should ever need.
As long as the driver for the USB to serial cable is installed it should connect to DV just fine.
