i am looking into this as we speak. can you get me a log of it doing it?
Could you walk me through how to do that? I am using the Intune.

Never mind. I updated the tool and it seemed to fix the problem. Smooth boost under load and I haven't heard the tick.

So hey there, new to the forums but i couldn't find anyone with a 2013 ecoboost dead throttle issue. So here is my truck. Bone stock 2013 F150 XLT 3.5L Ecoboost. I just received my InTune I2. I downloaded and updated the latest blah blah blah from the net on my pc. Installed the 93octane tune from the easy tune menu. Fired up the lil beastie and dead throttle right from the get. Well piss I says. Of course I naturally went through all the normal emotions, Anger, Rage and " Why me God". I found these threads and started reading through them. naturally I got even more bummed as would seem that there is not much of a solution as of yet. Tried updating the tuner again. went out and installed the 93octane tune from the "Custom Tune" menu this time and boom!!! Throttle fixed and runs like a raped ape. Only have had a few key cycles and runs behind the wheel but for whatever reason my truck seams to prefer this particuler tune. I also noticed that when reading these forums the dates were from a while ago so maybe I'm talking about old news. That would be lols if that's the case.

So I've been running the custom tune you guys built me when you were trying to fix the dead pedal issue. I finally decided to update my Intune and try the Canned 91 tune. It loaded good and ran awesome all day. I went to a friends house for a couple of hours then when I went to go home I made it about 2 blocks and lost my pedal again. Any thoughts?

Hi Matt,

my name is andre and I am from Germany and purchased a i2 (i2020) last week and am also getting the dead throttle issue after using the easy tune function.

My car is a 2013 F-150 King Ranch with 3.5L Ecoboost engine.

I tried to load some files off the forum, but I also can't get into the "Custom Tune" sub-menu? I accidentally once downloaded a registration file from another thread but deleted it already from the i2 again, hope that didn't do any harm to the box.

The intune updater actually worked fine so far, last file I downloaded was something with group_1xxx.itf or something like that, but the tune somehow always gives me an instant dead throttle. Hence I am now contacting this forum to maybe find a solution to my problem.

I also attached my info.xml below.

Thanks in advance

use the advanced tune option to load the tune with the limiter disabled and it will work properly.

Thanks for the quick response, just tried it and seemed to have worked. Thumbs up :)

Will now go on the Autobahn, test it and report back soon!

Edit:

It worked, just did 213kmh on the Autobahn :D ... Now the car is awesome, thanks so much Mikel
