Intune plus a hemituner tcm

I'm not sure what the working order of doing things are to note burn up programs.

MY 2013 challenger 3.6 has a intune 1000 91 can tune already loaded into the car and has been working fine, I then pulled out the stock tcm to send it off for hemituner to give me new program for 6600 rpms shift points and do what he can to help reduce e.t. and gain some trap speed.

Does the intune effect the tcm in any way? can I just slide the NEW tcm in and then use the intune as normal?

Some say the intune 91 can tune does nothing to the tcm, but I have read others say it does and will fry.

So I'm not sure what to believe.

I do know once I get my tcm the way I want it, I want to have someone like or even hemifever work a custom tune. But I don't want to fry my 350 dollar tcm.

I thought about pulling out the hemituner tcm each time I pick up the intune and just slide the stock tcm back in.

So what does the intune 1000 speak to and effect? only pcm or both pcm and tcm.

dont mess with the quick adjust settings and the tool will not affect the tcm.

OK If I understand you correctly, the intune does effect the tcm. So this means if I do any adjustments to the intune it would be better to put the stock TCM back in ,which I used when I loaded the 91 can tune and made adjustments.

I had hemituner make me a new tcm, I did mail him my stock tcm but told him to leave it alone because of what I read about tcm after the fact, I already sent him my stock tcm , so I asked him to make me a NEW modified tcm.

I'm just trying to clear things up, sorry for the repeats of what I say.

My thinking is, I can run the new hemituner tcm just fine even with a 91 can tune loaded as long as I don't mess with the intune.

If I want to mess with the intune like data log and down load say a custom tune from hemifever it would be best just to slide in the stock tcm for which I started with, get my tune where I want it and then I can remove the stock tcm and put in my modified tcm.

So never mess with the hand held intune while my modified tcm is installed ,correct?

no, Im simply advising that you not make any quick adjust changes. Logging and even changing tunes should not be an issue, but the new tcm should be installed when the tool reads out a copy of the stock tune.

ok thanks ,sounds simple. please help me out one more time, i'm sure this will cost me- because now I can not reverse my load.


Wished I would have seen that post before I pulled out my original tcm- all the talk the tcm has nothing to do with the CAN TUNES because that is engine and not tranny. So I just yanked out my tcm and sent it off.

So during shipping I told Hemituner to NOT touch my stock tcm and burn me a new one, he said he would and I asked how much more to send him, just got home today and got my tcm in the mail.

Well crap, that asshat went ahead and wrote over my stock tcm ( even after several email exchanges)and sent it back so now I'm screwed because I didn't reverse the 91 can tune and he knew it!

So now what, I'm so pissed that , that jackazz said he would write me new tcm ( and I was willing to fork over more money), totally ignore me.

So now what? What is the solution?, sorry for the mess, little frustrated- you would think the folks you talk to who burn new tcm would say hey before you send it reverse your hand held unit, but no they just take your money and hope you screw up so they can get more out of ya.

I guess I'm not getting it, because I want to do data logging and load new custom tune instead of running a plain 91 can tune. your saying I can still do that?
