Predator Data Writing Error

Predator Data Writing Error
I have the Predator U7195. When I try to tune my truck it says Unknown Error and then Script Error, Interpreter Stopped. Right now my truck is stuck on the 87 octane tune. Any ideas? I appreciate any help.

A script error generally results from a low voltage situation. Even though the batteries may seem fine, if they are getting a bit weak, it will show during the flashing process. Please either replace the battery in the truck or hook up a 2 amp trickle charger while tuning the truck to keep the voltage constant.
Thanks
Thanks

I finally got it to work. I got the battery charger and fully charged the battery, then I set it to 2 amps and tuned the truck. It went fine. I suggested doing this a while back when I first encountered this problem, and someone from diablosport told me to please not do it because it could cause serious damage. Go figure.
I have one more question. When I reset the the vehicle to the stock factory tune, does it reset the Predator so that it can be used on any other 2003 Chevy truck, or do I have to send it in to get it unlocked once it has been used?
Thanks.

Glad you got it to go. This is usually a good indication that the battery is on its way out...keep that in mind!kfleeman wrote:I finally got it to work. Restoring the backup will reset this tool and allow it to be used on any other 03 GM Truck or SUV.

I was able to save the factory tune just fine, but when I try to install a custom tune or reinstall factory tune, I get the same error codes as the dude above. I charged the battery to full, left the charger on 2 amp trickle, and even removed the three radio fuses, (even though I do not have OnStar), but I still get the error messages, and am now stuck with the factory tune saved to the Predator and no ability to restore factory tune or install Diablo tune. Help!

You may just need to replace that battery as voltage is key when flashing these vehicles. How old is the battery? As they get old, sometimes the cells go bad and they will no longer take a charge.2500HD4X46L wrote:I was able to save the factory tune just fine, but when I try to install a custom tune or reinstall factory tune, I get the same error codes as the dude above. New Battery
The factory battery is about two years old. I will try swapping in a brand new 1000 amp battery and see if that works. Thanks.

RE: New Battery
Okay, I give up.
I installed a brand new, ready to go, 1000 amp Auto Zone battery, topped it off with a smart charger for over an hour until the charger said "Full", pulled the three fuses, (even though I do not have OnStar), set the parking brake, disabled the interior lights, dimmed the dash lights all the way, kept the charger on 2 amp, etc.
I still get the "Unknown Error > Script Error > Interpreter Stopped".
I already saved my factory tune to the Predator, but cannot upload the 87 tune or the Performance tune to the truck, and cannot restore the factory tune to the
truck.
1. Is the factory tune actually still on the truck at this point, and is the truck safe to drive, or am I stuck until I can make the Predator work?
2. How can I get the Predator to work?
U7193 v. 2.10, shipped direct to me from factory this week. Serial #003515
2005 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 liter gas engine. 34,000 miles.
No service engine light on, no fault codes, no other problems.

I think we fixed 2500HD4X46Ls' issue today, is your key in the on position (all the way forward without engaging the starter)?
Make sure and let me know.
Thanks
