Debating DS or HPtuner

Post by DodgeZ »

Trying to figure out the pro and cons.

I have a DS for my SRT4. I don't like that I would have to get CMR to do my own tune or keep paying a tuner.

DS, does it come with base tunes from different cars and ECUs?

About my car... It is a 2015 Charger R/T 5.7L. I have a variable runner intake 6.4L Manifold with 6.4 injectors. I also have SRT factory shorty headers and mids. I'd like to swap a 6.4 cam in to it also.

Does DS have any base tunes that can get my close to this setup? Like the Scat Pack tunes? Can you enable ECU support to control the intake? The 6.4 ecu and 5.7 hemi trucks do. I am stuck with buy CMR or paying a tuner for small tweaks to tunes?

Thanks

The only base tunes we offer are those provided in the devices, if that is what you are asking.

Do you guys have the option to enable the intake control in the 5.7 computers?

Great!

Do you know what ECU pin needs wired up active it?

Also, you may want to make it known that this an option.... Instead of wasting money towards an RPM switch the money could be used to buy your turner. Those switches are 100-150 bucks, adds great value and cleaner wiring using your tuner. Just saying.

With a 6.4 cam I think this intake is needed. I'd really like to get a base tune with a 6.4 cam, 6.4 intake, and 6.4 stock headers. I'd guess big bang for the buck. I know people don't like the 6.4l cam but I'd guess it is because they don't have the matching intake. The intake adds low end TQ.

dyno of low end tq here.
