2004 GMC Sierra - Duramax
I have been trying to update the tune on my truck for the last couple of nights. The unit seems to backup the original setting fine and then when it tries to write the new tune, it bombs and says that the write was unsuccessful and the original setting needs to be restored. Part way through the restore, the unit enters recovery mode and the truck is unusable. After numerous (sometimes >10) tries at recovery the original setting is finally restored. If a new tune is tried again, the process repeats itself. I updated the unit with all the latest files from the website, and yet it still does not allow the tunes to be installed. Very frustrating. Any thoughts?

Not an aftermarket stereo, but there is an iPod integration kit that plugs into the back of the stock stereo.

Taking the fuse out for the radio, which also powers down the iPod integration kit, seems to do the trick. Thank you!
