Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, have been redirected from the german dodge forum and I could need some advice.
I picked up my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi from my dealer yesterday, after adding some new tires, a lift kit etc.
I also wanted a tune to unlock the speed limit, turn off mds and some other stuff.
So I rode the truck home at the highway and suddenly, out of nowhere, the check engine light came on. A few seconds later, my fuel gauge went down to "E", the can symbol showed up and "low fuel" was displayed.
This must be an intune 2 issue, because it has never done that before the tune and it just came on and off several times.
And they did nothing else, regarding software....
I will check the error code later and already asked the dealer which mods he made exactly, I will post them as soon as I know. But maybe someone knows this issue already?
I will also try to put the original software back on and see if the error is gone.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Greetings from Austria,
NilaT

Re: 2010 Dodge Ram Fuel gauge issues
Hello,
I discovered a new error which never occured before the intune 2 was installed.
Everytime I try to remote start my truck, I get an "remote start abort. Hood ajar" error... What the heck.
I'm going to get back to the original software and if the errors are gone, that little piece of sh.. Is going back.
Oh and thanks for the great support... Not

I've never seen these issues reported anywhere, please let me know if it persists with the stock tune.

Re: 2010 Dodge Ram Fuel gauge issues
I went back to the original software today and at least the "hood ajar" error was still present.
No clue about the fuel sensor, as this error occurs randomly... I'll take a look for a few days.
But, what I wonder is... before I tuned my truck, I always get the "bing" when I didn't fasten my seatbelt.
After the tune was put on the "bing" was gone.
Now after I went back to the original Software, the "bing" still not chimes...
How is this possible?
//edit: my fuel gauge and DTE display just messed up again today morning. So, it not seems to be a tuner problem. Damnit.
