Car Shuts off when hits rev limiter with R9.01 (Dangerous)

HELP. I loaded release 9.01 on my 07 Daytona and this morning I started off to work and the ground was a little damp. I hit the thottle, and of course the tires broke loose. I was watching the tack and when he rpm's hit about 5800 I felt a feeling like a small jolt and then the Check Engine line came on and the car was not drivable. When this used to rpm this fast and hit the rev limiter nothing ever happened. The engine was still on still but I could not accelerate until I put it into park and restarted it. I was on a road that had no sholder and I almost got rear ended by a car becasue I had to come to a stop, put the car in park and restart it. I never had this issue with R8.20 which was my only other relase I've ever had. You cannot put the car in nuetral like in the old days to restart it while rolling. Also, even though the check engine light was on there were no codes stored. I'm made a couple more test runs and the same thing each time. The only thing different is the R9.01. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ASAP.
I have the 93CAI tune AND NO ADDITIONAL raised shift points. I initially had the rev limiter up by 300rpm which was suggested in some of the threads, so I moved it back to stock settings but the same thing occured. HELP.

Thats not different. I had that happen in earlier versions. Its Limp mode. Has nothing to do with DiabloSport, its a DCX "feature".

did you by any chance have the esp disabled using the predator ? mine would do it every time I turned off the esp with the predator, it has something to do with wheel sensors. If you did not have it disabled than I have no experience with that problem on my 07 plum crazy daytona.

Yeah this is not revision related it is a common dcx issue.

Yeah, avoid by not driving into the rev limiter at WOT....

rereading your first post I noticed you only had your rev limit raised 300rpms I keep mine at +600 and have never hit the rev limit prior to the car shifting at 5800 from 1-2 as a matter of fact I had spun up to 6000 without hitting the rev. limit. Why do you only have your limit set at +300 ? You have an 07 like mine and it will not let you go to the rev limit before shifting at 5800 from 1-2 and 6000 for the rest if you raise your limiter to +600 your problem will most likely disappear. I have had the car go into limp mode many times with my esp turned off by predator due to the tool also shuts off your abs and the computer does not seem to appreciate that.

Thank you guys! This is the first time I ever had this happen and I've had the car for a year. By the way, I DON"T have the ESP turned off and it still did it. I'll assume this is a built in "feature" haha of the car. I've since raised my rev limiiter to 600 over and put added shift firmness and raised shift points. I have had a problem with the raised shift points in the 2-3 gear change where the car won't shift without a lag of about 3 seconds. I talked to Mike and he stated that they are not aware of any problem so for now, I'll live with it. I would like to thank everyone for their support on this!

Not sure if I mentioned it on the phone, but try resetting the tranny adaptives and see if the 2-3 shift gets any better.
