Hey guys, just got a quick question about plugs in a tuned motor. Normally, based on all the research I've done, the Hemis prefer the plain-Jane copper Champions and that all them fancy plugs like the Bosch platinum 4's, Splitfires, E3's, so on and so forth are just a waste of money.
My question is, would a set of platinum plugs work good now that the PCM has been reprogrammed? This even really the right place to ask this sort of question?...lol

I dont see a need for it myself, but they should work fine, best to check on the ram or lx forums for recommendations from other owners.
Thanks

Best plugs to run in hemi rams are the Champion Copper core plugs. They are around 1.99 a plug, bad side is you will buy 16 of them.
With the other brands like E3 plugs is the voltage difference between the master and slave coils using E3s will short out the slave coils.

When I changed the plugs in my '11, they were NGK from the factory. I installed Denso Iridium Long Life plugs simply because I wanted them to last longer than the standard copper cores. I have not had any issues with them in the 60k they have been installed. I pulled one recently to inspect and they look good. No wear or anything.
As far as standard plugs, I would use the NGK any day of the week over Champion. I've never had very good luck with Champions. I've had several break over the years. I pretty much use NGK in every engine I have and they always work well. Occasionally I'll use a Denso plug also.
