Will my DCX I-1000 work?

I have a DCX I-1000 from my 2014 Durango RT. I have sold my RT and got a 2016 Silverado 5.3 V8. Can I use my inTune? Please help, and if so how do I do it?

No, that tool will not work for the GM unfortunately.

What if I upgrade to the new InTune? Can I send this one in as a core and upgrade to the new one and use that ?

yes, you can call in and we'll give you an rma# and a $100 credit toward a new tool if you trade that one in.
