06 Duramax problem

i have an U7186 and i updated it last time, well something went wrong when i was tuning it after i updated it and long story short my nephew turned the truck off when it was in the middle of writing the performance tune while i went to get something to drink and it cleared my pcm, well after paying almost 300 dollars from the tow fee and programming fee, i want to put the performance tune back on, but when i plug it in, it says that the original tune needs to be put back on, i am afriad to do this because what if the original tune on the predator is corrupted from it being turned off last time? am i worring for no reason? is there a way i could reset the predator?
