I have a 2013 F150 ecoboost 3.5 liter. I installed the 87 octane tune and it misses and pops at RPM above 4500 , tried the towing tune same results. My truck has 84k on it , and it stock factory tune it has smooth power up to all shift points. Really bummed after spending this amount of money and having it perform like this. Any suggestions?
I have updated the programmer - ALL updates been completed. I skipped no steps.

check plug gaps, sounds like they need to be closed up a bit.
.028-.030 ideally.

I am experiencing the exact same thing. I have 47K on my '12 F-150 3.5 eco.
Did you close your plug gaps? If so, did it help?

The recommended plugs are the updated ecoboost plugs SP-534 gapped at .030~

Re: Disappointed 87 octane tune - missing at high rpm
i have a 2016 that is doing the same thing, as well as, surging up and down when cruise control is set. My plugs are gapped at .028 and i even replaced them thinking they may have fouled out. It does this with the 87 tune, and the tow tune. Resetting back to original the problem is gone. anyone else seen this?

can you capture a log of this and post it here with the tune files from the device?
