How do you save "stock" tune to laptop?

I have a brand new truck, so im looking to backup my stock settings to my laptop just in case something happens to my current i2. I can then at lease have my stock settings saved in case I have to restore the file before a dealer trip.
Does anyone have a step by step procedure?

you can just copy and paste the tune files from the intune to your computer..

the original backup stock tune is saved in the intune when you install a preset tune.. so yes you can always restore the original backup at any time, like before going to a dealer..

you would not be able to put the stock tune from your computer into the intune and have it load as the "original backup" anyway.. doing that would load the tune as a custom tune, and that would do you no good for restoring original backup..

but like I said, when you install the preset canned tune into the vehicle, the original backup stock tune gets saved in the inTune... and then from the intune you would select Original Backup tune and that would do the restore process correctly.

Curious to know what if the i2 gets lost, or something happens to the original i2? Will the stock tune then be lost?
Or will the replacment i2 be able to reload the original stock tune that was saved to your computer?

yes it would be lost.. but if you get another i2, diablo techs can create a special restore file for you that you would load to the new intune, then restore to your truck.. then you'd be able to tune the truck with the new i2..
