It was sent to me via email then I downloaded the attachment. I saved it to a file I could find later. I select send tune file to tool on the express tab.i select the tune and I select the original backup file. It loads about 3/4 of the way then says byte 315933 of 315858 and my tool says unable to write 1024 bytes

Does this happen consistently? If it fails at different intervals, it could be the USB cable, but if it fails at the same number every time, I would have the custom tuner look in to the custom tune itself as being the actual culprit.
No, i don't work here.

Yes it is the same each time amd ive tried it over and over it it does the same thing at the same time. So the peron making the tune needs to do what?

Post the tune so I can see what the deal is with it. Also a copy of your original backup.

It Happens,

Solution,

Just, uninstall the Trinity USB and DSDownloader ..
and re install them again..

if it doesn't work, try other USB cable ..

I have this exact issue from the thread above with a customers Trinity for his '14 SRT-8 Jeep. During transfer it hangs in the exact same spot every time when using the DSDownloader to move the calibration to the Trinity. I have tried using a different USB cord, uninstalling/reinstalling the USB drivers, and uninstalling/reinstalling DSdownloader with no result. I think that the issue is with my CMR software or possibly CMR settings. The original calibration that the customer was running when he arrived was only about 8KB when I downloaded it. Anything I save in the CMR software is 83KB. I don't know if that's relevant but it seemed abnormally large. I attached the calibration for reference. I have only made minor changes to the WOT spark and WOT fueling thus far. The vehicle was previously tuned elsewhere. I have not had this issue before when calibrating Chrysler products with Diablo but I don't often see clients using the Trinity. Hopefully I'm doing it wrong and it's an easy fix but please let me know what I should try next. Thanks for your help.

delete the backup you have and export a new copy and then reload the custom tune. New backup should be much larger.

I can't seem to get the backup file to export from the tool with a normal size. It's 8k every time I download it even if I delete the old backup files before exporting the new ones. Is it possible that the backup file on the Trinity is corrupted? Can I load the factory calibration from the Tunes file in the CMR directory and if so, will I need to program VIN #s and immobilizer codes?

Interesting. I'm certain that the update completed. I will uninstall and update again.
