Uh oh tune failed truck won't start HELP!!!

Post by tenuhsee1975 »

Ok, here's the deal.......

2014 silverado 5.3

Had tune installed until yesterday. Restored original tune before taking truck to dealer for oil change and tire rotation. Also had an issue with my radio screen flashing off occasionally. They did their stuff and reflashed the truck. I attempted to reinstall the tune tonight and it failed. Now my truck will not start and the tuner will not read the PCM. What do I do now????? I need to be able to drive my truck this weekend.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the same year and engine truck.
The support team emailed me an overnight FedEx label, I sent them my trinity and the pcm out of my truck on a thursday night, they did their thing with it and had it back in the mail friday overnight. Works like a champ now. They were really quick about getting it done.

I also have a 2014 Silverado 5.3. Got my tuner in TODAY installed tune for the first time after it got updated on my computer to the latest version. Drove great but wanted to test out different tunes. Reinstalled factory tune, then tried installing a different tune. At the end of the install it said it failed, so I reinstalled factory tune again. Said factory tune installed, good to go. Went to start the truck to keep battery from running down, nothing. Wouldn't turn over at all. I get stabilitrak, and power steering assist errors in my driver message system. Tuner can't recognize PCM in truck so can't install any tune on the truck, plus it says no factory tune on handheld unit. Wtf Diablosport. My Bully Dog tuner in my other truck never gave me issues for 5 years and now I get this with the "top of the line" tuner.

It doesn't help that I called at 545 and no answer, waited 30 mins. I've seen different closing times from 5 to 530 to 6 for yall, idk which to believe. I need some help ASAP. Gonna have to leave work early just to hopefully get this squared away

Just had the same exact thing happen to me. Now I'm going to be unable to use my truck until this is fixed?? Of course it's 630 now and all the support is closed. This is very frustrating

Just to let you know, I've had to send my ECM in TWICE for this issue. After the second time I returned the tuner and kept the truck stock for a bit. That was with the Trinity, then found a killer deal on the inTune and tuned the truck with it. Have yet to have an issue with it and the truck runs better than it ever has
