flash pcm with dealer updates

Post by gr8dane »

I have a 2016 challenger scat pack. My stock pcm had a few updates that the dealer flashed it for. Had to do with a/c and hvac. Is there a way to keep the diablosport updated as well? When I am using the unlocked pcm, I get a "service electronic control message" and my sport mode would pop up. This happened a few times after hitting just over 100mph. Thanks.

I just tested both pcm's. The stock is fine. The unlocked flashes a message just passing 100 mph, "service electronic throttle control", which is tied to the ABS system and wheel speed sensors. What should I do? Thanks!

Its been suggested to me by our Chrysler guru that you may need to have a throttle learn done, this can be done by most good scan tools or by a dealer.

Thanks

thanks. I have a contact at the dealer. Can they put updates on it and at the same time let me modify it? how about the throttle learn with the gas peddle. Ignition on, push peddle to floor slowly, then release , then ignition off. then start? Thanks.

you can try that throttle learn to see if it helps, sure.

if it goes to the dealer, tell them NOT to flash it, just do the throttle calibration.

FYI, I didn't have to take it to the dealer. I did the throttle relearn procedure as noted in the discussion above. I went to test it and no message. It was more responsive as well. Thanks for the help.
