Can get it to work

Post by mustangtye »

I bought a used Delta chip from a friend 0ff an 01 mustang Gt. I put it in my 02 mustang Gt and the car will not idle with it, i have to stay on the gas to keep it running. Any ideas what i possibly did wrong or why it not running right. We have the same mods done to both of our cars but he is running 87 octane and i am running 93. could that make it not run?

C/A intake w/o mass air upgrade.

You will need to have the chip burned to your specific ecu code. It will not work properly otherwise. Any Diablosport dealer with a Delta burner can do this for you.

how much would a rough estimate be to reburn the chip to 93 octane to a new ecu code. also... do you get better or worse gas milage out of the chip?

Your local dealer will set pricing. The new tune should provide a gain in mileage.
