Does clearning CEL's reset the adaptives?

When using the Trinity handheld Diagnostics menu, does clearing the codes reset any of the adaptives? ECM adaptives?
My CMR tuner guy, who I located via this site's search function, believes that it does and wants me to leave my CEL on to give the adaptives time to kick in. I honestly thought you had to install a tune or disconnect the battery to reset the adaptives but I can't seem to find anything to confirm one way or the other.

Mike@diablosport answered this for me in another forum. So in case anyone finds this, the answer is NO, clearing the CEL's from the Diagnostics menu does NOT reset adaptives.
