speed limiter

Post by hans »

How to shut the speed limiter off? Stang GT 2006. U 7140. When I shut it off in modify tune, its appears to come on again when I install the tune (steeda 91). Car runs great by the way.

What revision of the Predator is this (top line of the main menu, above Performance Tune)? What is the calibration of your vehicle (Options/Troubleshooting/Show Calibration ID)?

And to clarify, you select the Steeda tune, modify it to turn the speed limiter off, then install it?

To start with yr last Q: yes! and I also modified the cooling fan temp (plus 5 degrees was enough) since the cooling fan came on constantly. And that modification worked out well. But the speed limiter seems stubborn.
I have the U 7140, 8R38 revision
Stang GT with steeda CAI, Borla x-pipe with cats, plus Borla catbacks. As said : the car runs great and rev limit is set at 7000 rpm

Hans,

Where is the speed limiter cutting off? Can you email me a copy of your Last Tune Written and I will take a look and see if I can figure out why it's not working and also send you a tune that will work.
