2016 6.2 sierra speed limiter issue

ok so I finally got a chance to flash my truck. during the tune I get the we cant do crap with your 8 speed message and I know its coming... but I select the remove speed limiter option and still get the disappointing nosedive at 98 mph. anyone have any ideas as to what the issue is? is it in the trans?

I may have an answer. Some of the trucks have a valet mode and/or a teen driver mode. If you have either of these options, the speed limiter is controlled by the BCM, not the ECM. There is a setting in the ECM for the speed limiter which can be set to ECM or Other module(BCM). I don't know if the i2 sets this or not, but my truck was still speed limited after trying remove it. I have a friend with EFI live that set mine to ECM and this fixed the problem.

Please drag and drop this on the Main directory of the tool and load it into the truck through the custom tune menu.

Please report back and let me know how it worked.

that worked I was also able to get into the advanced tuning also.
