Duallydave and anyone else that has the opinion of just sell it (U7131) and try something else, did we buy their product in good faith expecting a product that would perform to "all the standard features"? I did not mislead the customer, with the shift on the fly, live data, etc. How could I in good faith sell it to another person knowing the product is not what it should be. It took almost 8 months to get an update on the software, is there any other Current tuner sold by them that had a long of a lapse in an update?
I waited about a year after the release of the product to start complaining; I feel I am being a fair and patient customer. I have had my tuner since they were released and I actually put it back to stock months ago, and right now I trying the new release and I will have to see after a few tanks how the MPG is. But even if there is another update will we have to wait another 8 months? I think for those of us that drive our trucks they will be wore out (300k miles) before we get another few updates.
I am not saying lets do a class action lawsuit, instead lets get on the ball and give the customer what they paid for. Or to get what we thought we were going to be getting we would have to buy another product, like there new "Diablo Sport Trinity"? And have no support on that too ?

I feel your pain. I too bought the tuner thinking it was the best thing going. All the features you could want, great power gains, increased mileage, etc. But from the first time I installed it, I had idle problems. I love the forum for finding out I am not the only one, and they do a fairly good job at responding most of the time to the problems. But like you said, even though the respond, the actual fixes take forever to be released. I for one think it is completely inexcusable to use the excuse that "we are working on the release of another product (hemi) so we don't have time to fix yours" IMHO just that alone would win us (the consumers) a class action lawsuit if one was ever brought up. I have already decided that unless things drastically change, I won't be purchasing another diablosport product. I might be in the minority, but I didn't buy it because it makes the most power. I don't ever plan on using the extreme tunes at all. I wanted better performance available if needed but with better gas mileage if you didn't use it, I wanted it to be undetectable to protect my warranty, I wanted to be able to adjust tire sizes, and I wanted my truck to run at least as good as stock, not like an overcammed drag car. I also didn't expect to have problems with idle up feature and my intake heater. I didn't expect any kind of surging or anything else that others have experienced. And what I really expected was that if I had problems, that I wouldn't have to wait months at a time to have them addressed properly. It's almost like they drag us along with promises of the next update (there has been at least 4 since I owned my tuner) and none ever seem to work 100%, but they give you just enough help and hope to keep us all from saying "enough is enough" and starting a class action. Right now I can't even upload the latest program because I can't find a cable to do it that is windows vista compatible! So I wasted more money on a suggested radioshack one that I can't return because I have owned it too long waiting for the latest update! I now have to go an find someone still running XP or 98 to download from. If this latest update doesn't work as advertised, I am done with this company and I would be all for a class action suit. I hate to do something like that but at some point enough is enough.

A class action law suit, because you did not see the mileage gains you were expecting????
OMG.
Seriously, mileage is affected more by personal driving style than anything else, and considering the tool DOES add the claimed power, and DOES do tire size, and DOES do idle up, any Judge in his right mind would throw this case out immediately.
We are still working with you guys, and at no time have we bailed on this tool, nor will we, ever.
Thanks

Mike, how long did you sell a tuner claiming no watermarks, If someone accually wanted to push it who knows where that one could go. Or what happened to the live data. It is more than just a little MPG we are talking about here. And my favorite that most people bought it for "tune on the fly". What is the tentive release date of the advertised items, I am sure that would be one of the first questions asked by a judge when he found out advertised spec were not included in the item purchased. And from that answer I am sure would be the decision of if the case would be thrown out.
So the question is when is the tenitive release date? and then the real release date?

It has been stated that at no time did we claim no watermarks.
Ever.
(We never left a watermark anyhow, you are using the wrong term. The Predator did reset the key counts on prior revisions, but we never said it did not).
If a retailer was making that claim, it did not come from us.
Please point out where on our site or in our literature where it says this.
Thanks

And, the shift on the fly was removed due to the way it made the truck run.
If you'd like to give it a shot, I'll email you the crom, it works just as advertised, but you will not be happy with it.
Thanks

Within days I need to make a decision on what programmer to buy for an 07 Dodge CTD.
It's coming down to the Predator or Smarty.
I've heard all sorts of things reagarding the Smarty being absolutely undetectable (doesn't clear key counts, trip meters, etc).
They are claiming that all other programmers are detectable.
I don't really want to take that claim at face value.
Is the Predator really detectable or not? Does it do the tell-tale red-flag things like erase key cycle counts or reset the trip stuff? It's a lot cheaper than the Smarty for the performance gains I am looking for.
Thanks.

We can finger point all we want, that is not what the intent of the topic was, but if someone challenges me saying something was never said. I will put my foot down. Your Predator has a lot of potential I just wish that you would at least get one programmer down before jumping to another one. The talent at Diablo is being spread to thin and although a lot of products are being released a focus should be on making them more complete. That’s is all I am saying.

It's no finger pointing, but I agree, the issues should have been fixed with unit already on the market especially when advertised options are still not available, before new units are released. For me detectability and live data were the key buying factors that have been promised for over a year and some still not delivered. Come one guys get your act together before people get really pissed...
Burn baby burn!!!! This is too good. There for a while I forgot I was pissed off about all this stuff.

I like that, I think since it was your idea, be a president. I have already updated my profile with the membership...
