P0129 Prodigy Turbo 3.6 JK

Post by turborubixcube »

I have installed a Prodigy Performance turbo kit and have not had good results starting the Jeep. I initially had the MAP sensor plugged in backwards. Oops. Now even after plugging it in correctly and allowing it to idle for a while, I am getting a P0129 "Barometric Pressure Out of Range Low" trouble code. This is causing my ETC and ESC trouble lights to come on as well. Prodigy seems to think the MAP sensor is to blame and have sent me a new sensor and connecting harness. I am a little more skeptical that the issue may lie in the tune. I sent the original backup for modification and have received 2 custom tunes back with no improvement. When I checked the MAP sensors with the key on engine off I got the following results:

New Prodigy 3BAR MAP sensor:
MAP sensor installed/connector unplugged: 5V / 28.02 in/Hg intake pressure (94.89 kPa)
MAP sensor installed/connector plugged: 1.6V / 28.02 in/Hg intake pressure (94.89 kPa)
MAP sensor uninstalled/connector plugged: 1.6V / 28.02 in/Hg intake pressure (94.89 kPa)

Stock 1BAR MAP sensor:
MAP sensor installed/connector unplugged: 5V / 28.02 in/Hg intake pressure (94.89 kPa)
MAP sensor installed/connector plugged: 4.39V / 29.2 in/Hg intake pressure (98.88 kPa)
MAP sensor uninstalled/connector plugged: 4.39V / 29.2 in/Hg intake pressure (98.88 kPa)

I am a bit lost now and need some help trying to track this down. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The Jeep is a 2013 JK Unlimited Rubicon 3.6 running 1r13d software rev.

You need to verify BARO at key on with the new map sensor installed and the custom tune loaded.
