2005 escalde knock retard problems

i have a 2005 escalade with i think alot of knock retard. it happens when i load the engine going up a hill or adding throttle. which i believe causes excessive converter unlocks.
ive replaced the plugs with iridum ac delcos and cleaned the maf. neither seemed to change anything.

ive posted my last tune written and a log file of normal driving and in the log there is also one wot run.

im on the 87 tune running 93 gas in this log. but i have just filled up with 87 as this is the gas i want to run. im using bp gas as well if that matters.

you actually have the Diablo Tune installed, the 91/93 octane tune.. the timing is set higher...

that is not the 87 octane tune you have installed...

It has 110,000 miles.

How do i find that backup tune?


I orginally installed the diablotune but i didnt return to stock before i switched to the 87.

That would explain it if thats the case. Im using the i1000 so the bug must be in that too!

I will return to stock then ill reload the 87 tune. Is that correct?

This is the first intune. Not the i2.

You should not need to go back to stock before loading the 87 Octane tune.

It shows 87 when i modify the parameters.

I can check for you. Please go through the process and load the 87 octane tune. Then post it here.

I need you to at least post the Original Backup tune from the tool so I can compare with what exactly was in the truck stock.

I guess i could just return to stock and reinstall it using the 87 option. But id like to know for sure if it over wright the diablotune i orginally started with.

I dont know when i have knock retard on the 87 tune if it is in fact the right tune.

I cant change it on my end. How would i change it?

I'm not sure what you're asking...

Go ahead and load the 87 octane tune, post the last tune written and stock tunes and I'll look over them and ensure they have loaded correctly.

I have loaded the 87 tune back after restoring back to orginal.

I'm still getting large amounts of ping when wot.

I have dialed back the wot spark tables to -7 in all ranges. this has almost stopped the pinging.

do u know why this is like this? its a stock truck with 110,000 miles.

Can you please load the 87 tune up without any modifications then post the last tune written file and original backup?
