Serious I2 Thermometer Issue

Post by Infatuas »

Just received the i2 today for my 16 Silverado 5.3, updated it right away and then plugged into truck while key was set to on, did not start engine, applied 91 octane diablo tune with hard shift no tire adjustments and removed speed limiter following directions carefully. Immediately after applying tune and receiving safe to unplug notification i unplugged and started the truck. Immediately received ice warning notification on console screen. Outside temperature read out says 32 degrees Fahrenheit but its closer to 80. This is messing with my thermostat obviously.

Turned off truck, plugged i2 in and restored backup following directions. Still says 32 degrees outside and ac is jacked.

Can anyone help me out here? Original backup restore didn't fix problem and and I'm freaking. Speed limiter went back to stock, DOD is back to stock and i see v4 showing up now so it feels like restore worked mostly but temperature reading is wrecked.

yes, normal.. it will reset itself after a few drive cycles..

so just reinstall the tunes and drive it.. it will clear up on it's own

I wanted to provide an update. I understand now that it is normal and the system resets within a day or so and I don't have to unplug the negative terminal or anything for it to reset itself.
