How to Install Tunes and Original Backup Problem

Post by boba17 »

I have a 2006 Impala SS with a Diablosport, and have a few questions.

1) What program do I use to install a Crom file to the Diablo, and what program do I use to install a Custom tune file from an email?

2) Before I brought the car back to the dealer for warranty work, I Restored the Diablo to the Original backup, but the dealer called and asked if I changed the software in the vehicle, I hated to lie, but I said No. It seems that the Original backup restored by the Diablo was Not the Original backup. How can this be?

Thanks,

Bob

1. DSDownloader for loading .crom files, LS2(E40)PC interface for applying custom tunes.

2.If you chose 'Original backup', there is no way they could tell you changed the tune.
If they ever ask, you can simply say you disconnected the battery to do some electrical work.

Yes, what they can see looks the same whether you changed the tune, or disconnected the battery.

Thanks
