I2 issue-wont let me update and 8 speed ?

Post by gski »

Good morning -opened my new I2 on Friday headed to my computer plugged it in and it will not let me update it... Call tech they have me plug in my truck reads PCM but not TCM... Have a ticket opened sent files ect..I really want this to work and want it to be easy that is why I chose this over blackbear which I have an autocal but hated all the tech and files ect. Anyone have a similar issue and was it resolved quick and easy?? also how does this work on a 5.3 2016 silverado with 8 speed want to be happy with 87-89 tune remove afm and little firmer shifts less torque management not looking to race just enjoy the truck-and do it without a hige effort as the I2 advertises. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure with the silverado, but my C7 vette is similar and what i know is that the database of TCM's doesn't have everyone's file on it yet. They add files often and all you have to do is read the TCM then send it to diablo and they will update it within a week or so. I've been waiting over 3 weeks for mine to be added but thats because i sent in my file then the dealer updated my TCM software so i had to sent it to them again. Hopefully it will be added this week

No prob. It's my fault cause they had my orig file added within a week, but had to go to dealer and they wanted to do update on the TCM cause of known issues, so i let them. Now waiting on the new TCM file to be added.

I've had a Diablew tune on 2 corvettes. Very nice addition and it gives me piece of mind knowing someone adjusted it better than a canned tune. (not that they're bad)
