Intune rebooted when restoring backup

Post by WingsAA »

I was restoring the factory backup to my 16 yukon xl denali and after it restored the ecm the intune screen went black and it rebooted after the final key cycle for the ecm and before restoring the tcm. When it came back on, it said the device was in restore mode click yes to continue with restore or no to go to the support menu. I clicked yes and it proceeded to restore the stock tcm tune and I did the key cycles and it said all was well and the device can be unplugged or rebooted.

Needless to say I got a little nervous when the intune rebooted between the ecm and tcm restore with no warning. But I played along and it seemed to work out. Is this normal process now that the 8spd tcm tuning is supported?

No, not normal for sure, must have been something that interrupted the flash process.

Awesome... that's what I was afraid of. Not sure what caused it as the ignition was still on.
First time I encountered that happenning.
