Just an update after I sent in my TCM file the next morning I received the file from tech support , dropped it in my In tune folder and it updated the programmer, then it work perfectly installing the tunes on my truck, also tried going back to restore stock tune and then back to 87 tune without any issues.
The only other question I had is if it was possible to adjust the throttle booster, in the advanced tune under modified parameters. Tire size was easy and firmer shift worked well.

So this new tune for the 8 speeds works good? I have mine ready to go but waiting to hear if the 8 speed tune on tcm is a lot better than the stock. Mine shifts all the time and takes a lot of peddle to shift down.

What changes u do? When it ask u if you want to tune tcm it ask firm or hard shift so I picked firm. Can you just have it tune your tcm without picking firm or hard? I got it loaded with 87 tune but haven't drove it yet.

I think I know why nobody talks about the tranny tune for the 8 speeds I loaded mine firm shift not hard but it shifts
Softer than when it was stock and the shifts seem jerky not crisp almost like a hesitation and it still shifts all the time doesn't hold gears any longer. Very disappointing to wait this long and to really not have any better than stock and maybe not even as good as stock. Anyone else have a commment?

thats certainly not the expected outcome and not what others have reported, can you try the hard shift as well and let us know what you experience?

Ok but monte SS just confirmed what I was thinking.

shift points are not changed in the preset tcm tunes.. they only adjust shift pressure and how quick it shifts.. if you want it to hold gears longer, you need to modify the tcm tune yourself and adjust shift points..
