New to inTune, any advice?

I have a 2009 Chevy Avalanche with a 5.3L I have a K&N Cold Air intake installed on it also. I've had issues with the fuel trim/fuel too rich/mixture dadadadada, I don't know exactly how to remedy this. That's why I bought the inTune, to have my truck run better. Especially improving the idle, improve power and fuel mileage. Anyone out there have any advice for me on first-time tunes or playing around with the tuner?
