HELP: intune no longer works with my vehicle?

I decided to change some of my settings on my 2005 Dodge Ram. When I hooked up my intune it is telling me that my truck has already been programmed with an intune and asks me to remove it and hook it up to a computer. I did this and thru the installed program nothing happened. Is there an update I am missing? and why would this be happening if this is the one I used to program it and I have not messed with it in a couple years either upgrading the firmware in the unit or updating the settings in my truck? Can someone please help me?

the tool shows to be married to the device, has the vehicle been updated by a dealer?

no it has not been to a dealer in years and has not had any updates. How do we fix this issue?
