Cold air intake and diablo tuner

I just ordered the k&n cold air intake and a trinity tuner for my 2012 siverado. Im new to this and never had either on a vehicle before. My questions are. Do the two work well together or should I just do one or the other? If they do work well together will i need a special tune because of the cai?

there is no CAI tune for that application..

the preset tunes would be ok for it.. it may be a little lean depending on the cai you use..
