usually best to leave it on for trucks, as it can lead to sloppy shifts.

Wait... what?
How is it that trucks are affected differently without TM?

I always disable it on 6-speed trannies..

on 4 speeds, I just reduce it, I do not completely disable it.. I reduce it by about 25-30%...

Lew-
Are you doing that on 6-speed trannies for both cars AND trucks?

Hi Greg.. I'm Lew.. Yes, I have a 2014 Camaro 2SS/RS LS3 - manual tranny, so no TM for me ;-)

if you have an auto tranny, you would modify the TCM tune after you select it, and disable the torque management settings, then go back, and apply/install the tune..

so when towing, is it best to turn on TM before hooking up?

i've been nervous about turning that off I guess because of the newer models and issues it causes with those so now I'm excited to give it a whirl. Custom tune is on my radar but all of these maintenance items keep coming up and now my wife has a long list of stuff on her car so canned tune for now.

Quick question, On the i2030 I have an 09 Tahoe 5.3L with the 6 speed. Is there a TM setting anywhere else besides the Upshift TM in the TCM? I heard from one person that on his tuner with his 09 that he seen one in the ECM area.
