Existing Tune ? Factory Tune

Post by Punnisher »

Hi, can someone explain to me if ; Say I go have my Challenger Dyno'ed and it's running strong so I keep it that way until I need Dealer servicing for something , anything , say Tikada airbag for example , now I go out and buy a Diablo i2 and download a Diablo Tune and take my car in to the dealer. Say they have to get in there ( computer ) for some airbag reason and when there done they naturally put everything back to stock ( Diablo Tune is gone now ). When I hook up my Diablo and go to reinstall the original tune will it put back my Dyno Tune or something else ? I guess what I'm asking is can I store whatever I want in my Diablo i2 unit ?

it will always read the stock tune then allow you to load one of the canned tunes or a custom tune.

OK , so when you say it will always read the " stock " tune , what you mean is the tune that's on your car which may or may not be an OEM tune , is this correct ?

on chryslers, if the calibration in the vehicle is not what we support, the tool will prompt you to update the pcm, which will wipe out any previous tunes.

OK Mike thank you very much that clears up some confusion I had about the i2 . So I think I have the best tune i'm going to get straight out of the unit unless I go the CMR route , ok thanks again.
