2017 Support...Always 2 weeks away

Post by CSevenGS »

There are 5 threads on 2017 Support...if you read them, they go like this since Jan 26...2 weeks, 10-14 days, 2-3 weeks...over and over. Why not just say you're not ready and have no idea. It's April and you guys have been saying a few more weeks basically for 2.5 months...but encouraging people to go ahead and buy and wait for a tune. I've been using your tuners on my Ford's for a very long time. This GM support is making me want to go with HP instead. Can we get a real answer on availability?

In no way am I encouraging anyone to purchase a device that wont work for their vehicle. Please dont take it as such. The target can move, especially when its in validation. There are many pieces to getting this support out as its a little more complicated than tuning GMs have been for the past 15+ years, due to changes GM made to keep you from being able to tune it simply, but we're very close to a release.

Thanks

The only problem with that logic is HP Tuners has been able to tune 17s for awhile...

Mike L. I have waited on hold numerous time for tech support for well over 30 min. If I don't see 2017 Silverado support this month I will return my tuner and go with HP. This is nuts!

that doesnt really hold water, cant compare different companies engineering priorities and tasks. By that token, we were doing ford for 10+ years and DCX for 5+ years before they did...

ooOOooOoOo final validation sounds exciting. I decided against a flashpaq and held off on an exhaust purchase to wait for this, any news is good news. Lew will likely hear from me the same day it gets released :D

We are very close to a release, keep an eye out over next 2-3 weeks...this is what you said 26 Jan...

Id guess 2-3 weeks, this is due to GM making it harder for you to tune your truck :)...said on 24 Feb...

Hoping for a release this week if all goes well....said on Mar 28...

Looking like 2 weeks for pcm support if all goes well....said on Mar 17...

Like I asked before...what is the ground truth on availability...cause so far it just keeps being, soon, 2 weeks, 2-3 weeks, etc...

supposedly it's out as of last week.. run the updater on your intune and try to install only the ECM/engine tune to your 2017 truck.. most have not been successfuil yet.. seems like diablosport still has some testing/fixing to to do...

So, just to make sure I get what you are saying. It IS out but not a reliable tune? Last I called they told me they have a test vehicle but were still having issues.
