Hi all,
I purchased a 1999 corvette a few months ago, it came with a 12 tuner, the car only has a ONLY a CI as a mod, everything else is stock.
I tried the diablo 93 octane and the car would start and stall, I went back and did the 91 octane and same isse.
I tried to restore the stock tune and she still starts and stalls.
I get all sorts of weird messages, low fuel, low engine power, low voltage, the car was running fine yesterday.
any help to get me back up and running
TIA
please help me out 1999 Corvette start and stall

Check and see what codes you might have. Post your last written and original file up. Might be able to help.
Re: please help me out 1999 Corvette start and stall
I see two files in the tuner, what do I use to open that file up so I can paste it here?
Someone mentioned to me that I my bateery might not be fully charges during the upload, I have a battery tender on it right now

Hi, this was the last written tune by the previous owner
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Anything aftermarket installed in the truck? i.e did not come from the factory?
make sure anything aftermarket is disconnected/pull the fuse for - anything like aftermarket stereo, subs, amps, nav, alarm, remote start, seat heaters, trailer brake/light setup, etc.. anything like that, their wiring harnesses need to be disconnected/pull the fuses for it before you try to tune anything...
also make sure everything is turned off inside the truck.. lights, radio, heat/fan/blower, do not operate power windows, put your parking brake on, etc...
those old vettes are quirky.. after completely installing a tune, disconnect the tool.. then disconnect your negative battery cable from the battery for about 10-20 minutes.. then reconnect it.. and fire it up.. should be good to go.

Re: please help me out 1999 Corvette start and stall
Hi 06MonteSS,
Thanks for replying, there is no mods on this vehicle except for a CAI system. Everything else is stock
I am in the process of installing a new battery, voltage was around 12.2 after the tune load and that might be a little low for the Vette.
I spoke with your tech support today, very nice person.
I am praying all this is is a battery change , will keep you posted

Re: please help me out 1999 Corvette start and stall
Bought a brand new Optima battery and installed it, the car started with the stock back up no problem, only thing I saw was the temp going past 190 which was odd.
I tried loading a 91 octane diablo tune and when finished, it did not start again. I should remove the negative cable every time I load a tune? or should I just go back to the stock tune?

I have seen this randomly on C5 and never been able to replicate it, but yes, disconnecting the battery for a second after flashing is the fix for now.
Thanks
Thanks

Thank you! this worked perfectly!
I love the Diablo 91 octane tune, car is back at 190 temp and runs very strong.
Thanks again for all your help!
