Modifying parameters after new mods 2013 Suburban?

Post by LANZOIL »

Hi,

I have a 2013 Suburban 1500 with 2" lift and 33-inch all-terrain tires. I have an AirAid Modular Intake tube, 180-degree thermostat, Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, and I have been running the Diablo Tune using 91-93 Octane depending on the gas station. Truck has been running great.

My wife got me some early Christmas gifts that she got for a steal on Cyber Monday that I plan to install this week: JBA ceramic coated shorty headers and a Vararam ram-air intake.

My question is, after I reconnect the battery following the installations, will I have to modify any of the parameters (fuel, spark, etc) or will the computer re-learn with the better-flowing intake and exhaust? Anyone have a similar setup? Is there a starting point for modifying the tune?

And yes, I already know that I won't see huge gains, but I just want to get the most power/mileage as possible by getting the engine to run at its most efficient. I may spring for a custom tune if needed.

Thanks in advance!

you would need to get a custom tune done for that setup and those mods...

can check out www.diablewtune.com for a custom tuning option..

OK great, thanks! $150 is very reasonable for a custom tune! As soon as I get the items installed, I will make the purchase and do the logs, probably first or second week of January.

Talk to you in the New Year!
