11-15 300C AWD Programming - I1000 DCX

Post by gwjturner »

The AWD System engages on these cars under a number of different circumstances, such as: Operation of the wipers, ambient temps below 39 Degrees, detection of wheel slippage, etc. It would be really nice to be able to adjust these parameters. One of the most unnecessary times that the AWD engages is when the ambient temp is below 39 degrees and it's a sunny/dry day!

Thats actually a perfectly good time for it to engage. Summer tires lose grip below 40, so having all 4 getting traction instead of 2 makes sense. Low traction and cold weather, plus a Hemi means lots of tire smoke. With all seasons, always having 4 getting traction is best.

I figured out how to shut off the AWD. I bought a taZer from Z-automotive. Amoung all the other changes the taZer allows, I was able to unlock the SRT functions!
