Wednesday I untuned my truck for transmission service at the dealership. Friday I went to reinstall the 87 tune, it went through its normal process till it went to install everything. I believe the ECM tune got installed (DOD is turned off) but not the TCM. After the ECM was finishing its process, it came up with an error and wrote a log. After that it froze up and wouldn't let me do anything else.
I unplugged the tuner from the truck, waited and tried it again, but it doesn't get past the screen where it lets you install, restore or scan. Now I'm concerned as to what got installed, can I drive it, but now I can't restore it. When you plug it in there are no updates and its reading 2r01f.
Can anyone offer advice as to what to do next or what may be the issue? Everything was off when I was installing and the only thing I can think of is that maybe the fan on my headunit, which came on, may have caused an issue...but I don't know.
Thanks
Bob

Re: Diablo I-1000 Freezing issue
If you think it was an electrical draw issue hook up a battery charger durning the tune...... your dash will show hood open but that won't effect a thing........ give that a try
Re: Diablo I-1000 Freezing issue
It's not a battery issue. I know these tuners are sensitive to electrical things coming on while installing a tune.
Re: Diablo I-1000 Freezing issue
I was able to get help via phone. Looked to be a registry error.
